Meet The Sales Coordinators

Courtney, Michelle, Diego, and Sandra are here to help serve you by assisting our Sales Consultants.  This means you will receive more personal attention.  They help you with your proposals, attend your tastings with you, and can answer any questions you may have.  Courtney and Michelle are new to the company, while Diego and Sandra have decided to accept the challenge and take on their new roles with mucho gusto!

A native New Englander, Courtney moved to Miami to attend Johnson and Wales University where she studied Event Management. She got her start in catering working for Levy Restaurants at the AmericanAirlines Arena.   Michelle was born and raised in South Florida and has always been passionate about all things epicurean.  After studying Nutrition at the University of Central Florida, Michelle spent the next six years working for event producers and destination management companies, planning both social and corporate events across the US and Caribbean.   We are proud to have such fine individuals on our team!

Catersource 2014

This March, Bill will once again be one of Catersource’s featured speakers during the conference in Las Vegas, along with Bill Pannhoff of B&B Catering.  “The 2 Bills”, as they are commonly referred as, discuss the Perfect Fit.  ThePerfect Fit is a series of presentations which feature focused education for smaller markets and businesses.  Their expert and seasoned advice, will teach fellow caterers how to work more effectively and turn a larger profit and possibly even grow their business.  Bill loves to teach and he loves sharing his 30+ years of catering knowledge and experiences.  This is why Bill Hansen and Bill Pannhoff make perfect Catersource Consulting Coaches!

Q: What makes Bill Hansen Catering different from our competitors?

A: We’ve catered for 5,000+ South Florida venues, 2,500+ brides, scores of Fortune 500 firms, Four U.S. Presidents and Pope John Paul II. Villa Woodbine, Coconut Grove is our exclusive venue and books years in advance.

Q: Tell us about your team and how they ensure guest satisfaction.  How do you find such an amazing team of sales consultants, operations managers and service staff?

A: Having taught catering management at FIU since 1990 has helped me recruit the best. Our training program is second to none, with demanding standards and the niceties of service taught by a former English Butler.

Q: What services do you provide beyond food, beverage and staff?

A: We love finding unique, sought-after venues for our clients. No two events are the same, and our team can plan the complete event, including design, décor, lighting, entertainment-the works!

Recent Events with Bill Hansen Catering

We love interactive food stations!  Chef Ahren Beers seared slices of Wagyu beef on a hot salt block and cured salmon and snapper sashimi on another.

Cooking with salt blocks is a fun, fresh, and innovative way to impress your guests, not to mention the added health benefits of salt block cooking. You’ll want one of our specialty stations at your next event.

Bill Hansen Catering is a family not just within the company, but we consider our clients family as well.  That’s why we love it when past clients look to us to for their familie’s events.  This recent wedding at The Deering Estate was brought to us by a past bride whose sister’s wedding was held at Villa Woodbine on the same date, just five years prior.

For the 2014 Miami International Boat Show we catered to the International Seakeepers Society and local philanthropists at Villa Vecchia on Miami Beach.  The Gala included guests from the yachting industry.  Upon arrival, guests were served The Drifter, a Russian Standard vodka and blueberry infused cocktail.  To learn more about the International SeaKeepers Society and its programs, visit its site

Are you on TRAC?

TRAC (Team Ropes Adventure Challenge) is a great way to build better teamwork and communication with fellow coworkers in a fun and adventurous setting!

TRAC is an experiential education program located on FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus. This “hands on” program focuses on human development and group dynamics. Participants will learn new skills through a series of adventure-based activities that provide training in leadership, teambuilding development, communication, and problem solving skills.
