Greetings from Bill Hansen!

Welcome to our special St. Patrick’s Day edition newsletter!!  So much is going on….we don’t know where to begin.  The New Year has been very fortunate to us and hope it has been for you too.  Now that we’re well settled, Sir Winston, the Peacock of Villa Woodbine, thinks it’s time to let his feathers down and have some fun!

Welcome Aboard!

We’d like to introduce Maggie Suarez-Salam, our newest sales consultant. She’s new to us but not to hospitality. Maggie has over thirty years experience within the hospitality industry.  She held the position of Manager Corporate Accounts and Latin America Sales for the Sonesta Beach Hotel & Tennis Club in Key Biscayne. Other hotels she’s worked for include the Grand Bay Hotel, the Sandpiper Bay Resort and the Dupont Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C., where she worked closely with Embassies organizing their events.  Maggie is a native of Havana, Cuba and was raised in New York. Welcome to the Bill Hansen Catering team Maggie!!

In the News – Villa Woodbine

Last week we broke some records for Bill Hansen Catering. Villa Woodbine is by no means a small venue, but we consider it much like a home.   Recently we had the pleasure of seating nearly 240 wedding guests, along with 18 other vendors, including a classical string quartet AND an 8-piece band! Bill has recently installed some special hurricane-proof glass, which now allows our guests to enjoy such entertainment without disturbing the neighbors. While Villa Woodbine’s capacity nears 300, the Bill Hansen Catering team pulled it off, where the only hitch was the lucky bride and groom! Congratulations Meghan and Martin!!

Meet N Greet

Say hello to Lindsey and Christina. They head up Bill Hansen Catering’s Coordination department.

Lindsey has interned at the Sweetwater Branch Inn, a North Florida wedding and events venue and has also served as a Projects Coordinator planning for numerous corporate, not-for-profit and social events. Most recently, she worked for a local event design and coordination firm. Christina’s experience comes from studying Hospitality and working for a wedding and events planning firm in Orlando. These two have recently brought their expertise to Bill Hansen Catering, providing clients with nothing but top-notch service.

Catersource

As many you may not know, Bill Hansen is also an educator, not just for Florida International University but also for his fellow peers in the catering industry. Last week, Bill was once again honored with the privilege of speaking to thousands of caterers at the Catersource Conference and Tradeshow in Las Vegas. Sharing tips and ideas from his 32 years of catering experience, there’s not much that Bill doesn’t know about the biz. He loves to teach. A big round of applause goes out to you.  We are so proud!

PartySpace

Once again, we’d like to thank the wonderful people at PartySpace South Florida. They’ve helped us stay quite busy this year. Any event vendor in the business should think about listing on their site. We’re getting inquiries everyday. Thank you PartySpace!

We’ve recently had the opportunity to add a few new venues to our list.  The Dezer Car Collection, Zadok Art Gallery, and Pinetree Drive Estate are just three of these fabulous new party spaces we’ve had the pleasure of serving at.
