Laura Garcia

Laura was born and raised in Dominican Republic. She moved to Miami when she was 18 to attend Florida International University where she met Bill and started her career in the Hospitality and Events industry.

Upon graduation from FIU, Laura started working at Bill Hansen Catering managing the office and events at Villa Woodbine. After three years working for Bill, Laura relocated to Washington, D.C. to be close to her family and her one and only nephew and godson. In DC, Laura worked as the Meetings and Tradeshow Manager for an association, planning and executing two national conferences, a hardscape industry tradeshow and all the organization’s meetings and events.

It took Laura four years to realize that a girl who spent most of her life in tropical weather, who loves being by the beach and doing outdoor activities, does not belong in the northeast, especially not during really cold winters. She is very happy to return to Miami and rejoin the Bill Hansen Catering team.
