Jerry Cortese

Jerry joined Bill Hansen Catering with over 19 years of operations experience in both on and off-premise catering. His career began at Burdines Department Stores as their in-house executive chef. During his 6 year tenure, he wrote their menus, oversaw all aspects of their back-of-the-house operations, and helped to implement over 200 catered events annually. Jerry then joined the Macy’s team and for the next 11 years oversaw business development, daily operations, and leadership of Macy’s external catering operation, which catered events from 10 to 10,000 people and included local events, weddings, and political galas.

Jerry as Director of Operations oversees the planning and facilitation of all company catered events, the hiring and training of service and culinary staff, as well as the oversight of all company owned or managed venues, vehicles, equipment, warehouses, and kitchen commissaries.
