Since 1980, Bill Hansen, CCE (Certified Catering Executive), has catered at over 5,000 South Florida locations. In addition, he has serviced many lavish events, including Estee Lauder, Lexus, Microsoft and over 2,500 brides during three decades, keeping up with trends and traditions, while accommodating each client’s unique requests.

Currently, at Bill Hansen Catering we are exclusive caterers at five South Florida venues, preferred caterers at six other venues and have catered at over 100 other public venues in South Florida. We often create special events and weddings at such fabulous tropical locations as Villa Woodbine, Villa Vizcaya, The Deering Estate, and Fairchild Tropical Gardens.  Group sizes vary from a few select guests to thousands.  Whatever your needs may be, we can help you select the perfect place for your wedding or special event.

Three of our culinary team members have worked with us since the 1980’s.  The average length of service of our 12 team members is over 5 years, which insures you consistently high quality foods.  Many of our competitors rely on staffing agencies for culinary talent. We do not!

Our Bill Hansen Catering staff does not accept tips during the event.  We feel that this is inappropriate at all events other than those where we are selling food and beverages directly to patrons. 

Two of our executive chefs have appeared on Today South Florida and A Taste of Belkys and have been featured in the South Florida Sun Sentinel and The Miami Herald. 

Our Director of Operations, Lev Shnaidman, has produced over 2,500 events worldwide.

Internally, we spend hours planning your party, wedding and event to insure perfect execution.  We do not operate from the seat of our pants.  We treat your function like it is our own.

We understand that there is no second chance at a first impression. At Bill Hansen Catering we are diligent about answering phones, returning phone calls quickly, and providing on-time proposals and proposal revisions.  You won’t need to call us to find out why you didn’t get your proposal.                                                                                                       

Our catering services are preferred by 85% of the destination management companies* in South Florida.  These firms know our competition, and they choose us. *Destination management firms handle the entertaining and travel needs of groups from out-of-town who visit South Florida.

Not all caterers have a 13CT license. If you ask if they have one, and they say no, then they are not licensed to sell you alcoholic beverages.  Bill Hansen Catering has one.

Unlike our competition, at Bill Hansen Catering we train our own service staff members and do not rely on outside staffing agencies, which brings you consistently excellent service with a smile.  Many of our professional staff members are students and graduates of FIU’s famed school of hospitality management, where our owner, Bill Hansen taught for 19 years.
