Born on Valentine’s Day in Miami, Diego attended Hargrave Military Academy where he graduated with an advanced degree and as a Captain in command of the Military Police. Upon graduating the Military Academy, Diego enrolled at FIU seeking a degree in Hospitality Management, while at the same time owning the Historic Blue Marlin Fish House Restaurant. During that time, the restaurant won many awards with the Miami Herald, New Times, City Guide and various others as well as being published in a book called “Where the Locals Eat”. On top of all that, it was featured on Channel 7’s “Bite with Belky’s” and ultimately ended up on The Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Diego has since managed several restaurants and also ended up as the South Florida Sales Manager for a large national chain. Apart from loving what he does, Diego greatly enjoys spending time with his wife and three dogs, going out to great restaurants (he and his wife are huge foodies) and traveling whenever he has spare time.
